मुंबई ची पाणी समस्या

मुंबई मध्ये पाउस सुरू झाला की लगेच उपनग्रीय गाड्यांची वाहतुक वरचे वर पाणी साचल्यामुळे बंद होते.त्याने खोळंबा होतो व जन जीवन असुरळीत होते. यासाठी एक उपाय सुचवु शकतो तो म्हणजे रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टिम. मुंबई मध्ये असलेल्या सर्वच ईमारती च्या गच्ची वर रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टिम बसविल्यास पावसाचे पडणारे पाणी हे साठविले जाईल व ते भुयारी गटारी मार्गे रेल्वे व अन्य वाहतुकीचे मार्ग ठप्प करणार नाही. हा उपाय नाविन्यपुर्ण आहे.

Electric power for urban cars




The Mumbai the city of Joy has a legacy of various transportation models. Earlier during the British raj we had a public mode of transportation called Trams. In electrical engineering term it is known as traction which means an electric driven vehicle which runs on electric supply from over head wires through either pantograph such as in sub urban local trains still used or else some suspended cable. Due to various reasons the trams were closed and till later some years they were still run in some parts of Kolkata too. Here I propose the public transport vehicle be modified to use as personal car. How; see here.

I am going to suggest you a point which are in my mind since past few months. In US and European Union and some developed countries people have already started using electricity to run their domestic personal vehicles like cars etc. here in India too some of the companies have introduced and launched two wheelers running on electric power. Even while browsing on the internet I somewhere found Indian car / automobile manufacturer’s interests in electric cars.

Here where I would like to suggest you:

1) The major hindrance people face will be recharging the battery of the cars. How often the battery needs to be recharged and the limit of kilometers it can travel at a stretch without recharge will be crucial. Here we can modify the vehicle by providing an external electric supply through over head cables as the local trains runs. That means the car will run on both power sources first on its own battery and while it reaches to main road it will get from over head cables. This modification will be useful even for car pooling too.

2) The usage of the common electricity can be metered through any means and will be paid by the car owner on monthly billing basis or even prepaid can be set.

3) This unique concept can be launched and managed professionally by some of automobile manufacturers only having both automobile and electric companies as subsidiaries. We can even introduce some non profit sector agencies for monitoring the same schemes in cities and urban areas.

I thought it was my duty to suggest this and it may help us to save and manage valuable petrol and diesel being burnt everyday for personal car usage.
